Working within a team of professionals you will provide support, and supervisory care within the inpatient unit. You will be the pivotal professional for this high care wing that requires clinical oversight and operational performance. To be successful, a background in psychiatric-specific care is necessary and experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing. The goal is to provide the best quality care through developing and implementing managed care plans in order to transition patients out of high care and into a more independent way of living.
Description
The role is based in an idyllic Victorian town within a mental health facility close to Melbourne, the snow and the beach. You will encompass a core part of this team working with and reporting to the General Manager Community Mental Health and the Operations Team. Person-centred care will be at the forefront of your mind and oversee patients and staff from an individualist perspective.
Profile
- Nursing: Division 3 Registered Nurse or Division 1 Registered Nurse with post-basic qualification in mental health nursing holding a current Registration Certificate with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Social Work: Approved degree in social work or other qualification approved for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Psychology: Approved degree with a major in psychology and eligibility for registration with AHPRA
- Occupational Therapy: A degree or diploma from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA.
