Salary: Level A - $80,258-$108,906 p.a. plus 17% super

About the RoleThis is a compelling opportunity for a skilled Research Assistant to join Phoenix Australia, a leading center dedicated to addressing the Mental Health impacts of trauma. As a pivotal member of the research team, you'll engage in diverse projects aimed at understanding, preventing, and mitigating trauma-related Mental Health challenges, particularly among high-risk groups like emergency services personnel and military veterans. With a focus on crafting impactful reports and publications, research trial support, and data analysis, and you'll contribute significantly to the center's mission while honing your research skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct literature reviews including systematic reviews, rapid evidence assessments and narrative reviews.
  • Work within project teams to provide analytical research and report writing skills;
  • Contribute to writing of ethics applications, project reports and peer review journal articles;
  • Plan for and maintain participant tracking databases including within excel and SPSS (including data entry);
  • Conduct descriptive and univariate statistical data analysis (e.g. t-test, ANOVA).
Who We Are Looking ForYou excel in problem-solving and possess superb organisational skills, adept at meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, fostering strong working relationships to achieve project objectives seamlessly.You will also have:
  • Undergraduate degree with first class Honours in psychology or related Mental Health field;
  • Demonstrated skill in writing high quality reports and/or manuscripts for peer review;
  • Evidence of ability to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data and maintain accurate data records.
