To help us achieve this we are looking for a Competitive Play Lead to join our participation team at Tennis ACT on a full-time, permanent basis.About the roleReporting to the Regional Tennis Manager, in this role you will be responsible for organising, administering, and delivering tournaments, events, and competitions on behalf of Tennis ACT. In this role you will:
- Lead the successful organisation and delivery of major tournaments and events
- Serve as the primary contact for tournament support, addressing all software-related enquiries
- Conduct informative Tournament Director Workshops for regional organisers
- Provide operational and logistical support during Pro Tour and major participation events
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive promotions and publicity for Competitive Play
- Coordinate Tennis ACT Competitive Play opportunities including team entries, grading, draws, results, finals, and communication with clubs and players
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Competitive Play calendar for coaches, clubs, associations, and schools
- Previous tennis experience is highly desirable
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, including computer literacy, budgeting, record keeping and report writing
- Interpersonal ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong presentation and communication skills both in one-on-one and public speaking situations
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work and travel associated with Tennis ACT
