Our friendly and passionate team are looking for Complex Behaviours - Disability Support Workers to support and enable our clients living with a disability to maintain a happy, healthy and independent lifestyle.
We provide therapeutic and everyday living supports to clients living with a disability. Our mission is to build enduring relationships.
Therapy Care is based in the heart of Blacktown but supports clients across Western Sydney. We are currently undergoing considerable growth with exciting developments ahead in the future. In the Therapy Care community, participants receive optimal end to end care, where they live comfortably and happy.
A typical day with us will include:
- Supporting our clients to live independently
- Forging meaningful relationships with our incredible clients
- Hitting the road and visiting client’s located in Blacktown and surrounding suburbs
- Provide individual support services and direct care for people with disability
- Support the client in community participation programs
- Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
- Supporting with Domestic activities and assistance with personal care
- Manual handling - assist with standing and toileting
- Medication assistance (prompting)
- Assist with meal preparation and cleaning within the home
- Management of challenging behaviours
- Maintaining records of client progress via our CRM system
- Shifts will range from Monday to Sunday with various start and finish times

- Experience working with complex behaviour participants
- Experience with working with people living with a disability or working towards qualifications
- Able to follow procedure and ensure the clients’ personal preferences are adhered to
- Confident communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
- Experience working within designated timeframes
- Adaptability for unexpected changes due to client and rostering needs
- An open and enthusiastic manner with a commitment to working with people living with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
- Ability to work day/nights and weekends
- Ability to work in Richmond, NSW
- Driven, energetic and committed
- Flexible and reliable (essential)
The following will also be required of successful applicants:
- NSW Driver Licence and your own, reliable vehicle with insurance
- Physical capability of meeting the requirements of the role
- Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
- Police check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (or willing to obtain before 30th November) or provide medical contraindication certificate
