Job description

Positioned within Service Stream’s Operations and Maintenance business unit, the Resource Optimisation, and Compliance Officer’s role is to action the day-to-day process of companies and resources to ensure resources are compliant and operationally ready in a timeline manager.  This role’s objective is also to collaborate with operational teams to ensure resources remain compliant and operationally ready.  

This role is suited to a person who enjoys and thrives in a fast pace and every changing large integrated telecommunication environment.  You must have the ability to work with other team members to priorities workload accordingly and complete the required outcome across all the processing teams functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the day-to-day operations and ongoing activities of the Resource Optimisation and Compliance Team to facilitate the recruitment, on-boarding and ongoing compliance of companies and subcontractors and their accreditations, insurances, inductions, and OH&S requirements.
  • Understand and process any changes to compliance which have come via the Governance process to ensure all compliance roles are align to all Australian Industry standards.
  • Attend various daily operational stand-ups to drive prioritisation, minimise operational delivery risk, and mitigate any escalation of activities through building relations both internal and external.
  • Assist and communicate with operational and development teams to ensure all reporting requirements of the compliance data base are visible and meet operational needs.
  • Ensure and contribute to all SLA’s for the Telecommunication group around on-boarding and compliance are met.
  • Ensure and contribute to the on-time delivery of client-based reporting.
  • Attend any required internal and external training on required applications. 
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all parties: internal, client and external field, to proactively understand any emerging trends, concerns, forthcoming demand, skill, or regional gaps.
  • Ensure all written and automated communication is professional and up to date. •Assist the Resource Optimisation and Compliance Manager in procurement activities for all Operational projects and services.
  • Conducting business to the highest standard and in line with the Service Stream Core Values.
  • Develop strong working and collaborative relationships with the Operational Support Services management team to ensure knowledge, impacts and delivery strategy of the workforce are continuously aligned.

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Contractor administration.
  • 3 years’ experience in the Telecommunications, Utilities or the Construction industry (desirable). Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, having an appreciation of organisation needs and values.
  • Must be flexible and responsive to change with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. 
  • Recognise problems and underlying causes to initiate effective corrective action.
  • Demonstrated team player and collaborates with other team members.
  • Possess business acumen to recognise the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Demonstrable ability to manage day to day issues and resolve complex problems with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve conflicts.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail.
