About The Role

Reporting into the Head of Compliance – Customer Engagement, this brand new senior role is responsible for diagnosing and assessing the performance of the suite of controls to meet our regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with technology and across our ‘Customer’ department in identifying and implementing improvements across our controls for compliance with our regulatory obligations in scale, especially for our customer communications in our Marketing and Premium business areas. In addition, you will have the ability to identify and assess technology-related risks whilst interpreting obligations and compliance frameworks for assessing and achieving compliance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering a “line 1” assurance program of work assessing and formulating opinion by means of testing over the health and performance of our controls to meet the relevant regulatory compliance requirements (e.g.  ACMA, Privacy Act, NTRC, NCPF and Safer Gambling)
  • Provide opinion on the overall performance of our Marketing Technology and CRM controls, including presenting and aligning key stakeholders on areas that require change and stakeholder accountability/ownership.
  • Identifying, designing and implementing control process and system optimisation to ensure the function is performing at peak today and prepared to accommodate future growth.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of solutions to meet regulatory changes, internal and external audit findings and compliance incidents.


About You

  • Compliance management and control design/optimisation and assurance for a digital business
  • Strong technology understanding, including ability to assess effectiveness of technology controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication including being confident to articulate an opinion or provide direction
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and at pace
