The Role: Compounding Team Leader
We have a new opportunity for a highly driven and motivated individual with strong leadership capabilities to join our Compounding Team based in Canning Vale, in a Full Time, Permanent position. As the Compounding Team Leader, you will be accountable for building and leading a high performing team to meet the business and our customer requirements.
You will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Compounding team, overseeing the production and supporting the Manager to meet quality, operational and business metrics.
Your key focus for this role will include people management, production efficiency, customer satisfaction, productivity improvement as well as supporting and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the implementation of company initiatives and embedding them into the team culture
- Management of staff resources
- Management of time and attendance systems as well as performance reviews and career development
- Recruitment and induction of staff
- Oversight of production flow by liaising with Production Specialists and Flow Controllers
- Drive process improvement and efficiency programs
- Ensure quality standards and procedures are being maintained
- Ensure quality related investigations are conducted with Quality Assurance Specialists, in a timely manner, using the Human Factors model where applicable
- Participate and contribute to site audits, where appropriate
- Customer relationship management – directly with customers as well as liaison with Sales and Marketing to manage relationships
- Oversight of delivery issue resolution
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant and approved qualification and/or experience
- Demonstrated sound leadership qualities and/or people management experience
- Proven effective communication skills
- Proven ability to make timely decisions based on sound professional judgement and consideration of risks
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical, Science or Engineering related degree preferred
- Experience in, or understanding of health sector
- Knowledge of aseptic compounding/pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, internal and external
- Business Acumen
- Knowledge of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice
