Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst / Team Leader to join our dynamic IT division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for eliciting, interpreting, and documenting business requirements and processes, and will play a crucial role in developing, testing, and implementing system updates and enhancements. This role involves operational support, project management, and continuous improvement activities across corporate IT services and subsidiary company operations.
Key Responsibilities of the position:
- Identify and define business needs and problems to develop feasible solutions.
- Gather, validate, and document business requirements.
- Analyze data such as budgets, sales results, and forecasts to generate insights and forecast outcomes.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Quantify costs, risks, and benefits of solutions, outlining business impacts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units for analysis and documentation.
- Simplify technical information for project teams and business representatives.
- Collaborating with technical resources and business resources to develop detailed options, gap and impact analyses.
- Lead consultations with technical specialists (including vendors) and provide guidance to system developers and administrators.
- Assist business testers with solutions and support business transitions and changes.
- Participate in project initiation and develop project business cases and artefacts.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of standards, procedures, and methodologies for IT business analysis.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to other Business Analysts.
- Lead sub-projects within larger initiatives and coordinate project activities.
- Develop test scripts and plans, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- ECBA certification.
- Proficiency in documenting business processes using BPMN v2.0.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation abilities.
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and influencing skills.
- Collaborative approach to solving business challenges with technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in complex IT projects with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, curious mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning and growth.
