Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Compounding Technician to join our dynamic team in Newcastle West. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing customised medications according to specific prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Compound Medications: Accurately weigh, measure and mix ingredients to prepare compounded medication as per physician prescriptions.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine checks to ensure all compounded products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records of all compounded medications, including formulation batch records and any deviations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain compounding equipment and work areas to ensure safe and sterile environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring timely order and stock management.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant guidelines, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmacy board regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Certificate IV in Pharmacy (Dispensary Technician) or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy or similar environment is highly desirable.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
