We have several permanent, full-time positions available for the day shift (6:00am-2:15pm) and the afternoon shift (2:00pm-10:15pm). Successful candidates will initially be based at our Parkside facility and transition to our brand-new, state-of-the-art complex in Salisbury South in early to mid-2025. As these positions are specifically for our Cooking and Cutting Centre, we're seeking applications from candidates with cooking, baking or patisserie experience. If you have formal qualifications in any of the above, we would certainly like to hear from you!
Your day to day:
A key aspect of this role involves cooking the centers for our luxurious individual cabinet chocolates. You will be responsible for preparing boiled products, ensuring they are cooked according to specific recipes. Additionally, you'll be required to cut product batches to achieve specified piece sizes and weights, using equipment such as the guillotine, Ultrasonic Cutter, roller, duster, and dehydrator.
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- A qualification in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery, Baking or a related field (advantageous).
- Experience operating food production machinery.
- Sound knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices.
- A genuine passion for producing a high-quality product.
- Initiative and a professional approach to troubleshooting problems.
- Accurate and systematic use of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Commitment and compliance to WHS policies and standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- High quality food handling; including the upholding of strict hygiene principles.
