Our client is a leading Australian owned Defence Industry SME specialising in design, engineering, integration and support of complex high technology electronics, software, electrical and mechanical systems. They currently support sustainment and acquisition activities for both fixed and deployable communications assets at various locations.

They are currently seeking the services of a Configuration Manager for a role based in Adelaide SA.

Your new role:

As a Configuration Manager you will:

• Ensure the Configuration Management Function delivers its services in accordance with project requirements
• Plan, execute and manage the CM project lifecycle for each Product
• Develop and Maintain CM plans, policies,procedures and documentation
• Track and resolve compliance policies , plans and procedures
• Perform audits of systems and software to verify compliance with established baselines
• Establish and define project baselines and requirements of specific data products
• Collect and report on CM metrics as required
• Maintain accurate records in order to provide input to Quality Manager for conduct of formal audits

About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science ,IT of related field
• Over 2 years of experience establishing a CM system including all supporting tools
• Experience supporting the delivery of complex systems containing software
• Knowledge of CM , Data Management and associated tools
• Experience in, or an, understanding of project and engineering management
• A structured and analytical approach
• The ability to work effectively on your own, within a team and other external agencies
• Experience in the Defence Industry would be high desirable
