MIDDAY ON MONDAY, 29 APRIL 2024Job DescriptionThis position contributes to the ongoing conservation and management of conservation-significant flora through expert advice, development of conservation programs, written reports, policy advice and input to other processes as they arise.Liaises with departmental staff, external stakeholders and the community on issues relating to flora conservation.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. * Sound knowledge and experience in the field of flora conservation related to threatened species and land management (Essential), including knowledge of and experience in the application of biodiversity and environmental legislation and policy (Desirable).

  • Proven ability to source and synthesise complex scientific information for use in conservation programs, including flora recovery planning and translocations, and to inform decisions.
  • Relevant experience in preparation of reports, submissions and correspondence that relate to flora conservation and management.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively in a team to achieve common goals.
