Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities.

Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs. About the role We are seeking a values-driven Trainer who will deliver accredited training to participants enrolled in Certificate II Horticulture, CALM Conservation and Land Management, including negotiation of work experience placements for students.

To plan, deliver, and review training and assessment to meet the identified competency requirements of the target group, to the standard required by Eva Burrows College and external accreditation authorities. You will successfully Plan, prepare and deliver courses /training according to the training package or accredited course and in line with industry standards. Provide flexible learning and assessment strategies which will meet the learning needs of a range of students.

Development of session plans, handouts and course materials in line with internal and external standards. Design and manage student assessments ensuring a range of assessment methods are utilised. Actively participate in validation meetings on assessment processes, tools and evidence, related to your area of expertise.

You will have Certificate III or higher in subject of training – Horticulture & Calm TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Extensive knowledge of plants and their use, including food plants, introduced species, indigenous, Australian native and bush food plants. Demonstrated experience in preparation of Training and Assessment Strategies Experience working with disadvantaged learners, highly regarded Current working with Children Check (blue card) LR/MR licence This is a full-time, permanent position located in Bundaberg, QLD.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Labour Market Assistance Industry Award.
