The ClientThis Government Agency is well established in Queensland and is in charge of all the infrastructures throughout.
The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor or someone who has worked in Building and Construction and is looking to move into a supervisory role in Cairns. This is not a FIFO role.Travel is an integral activity for this role and will require overnight stays of up to 4 nights (or as negotiated). As the majority of this will be road travel, you will need to possess a current Driver's License. There will also be occasions where you will be required to travel by (light) aircraft.
About You- Must live in Longreach area or at a distance for daily commute
- Have construction industry-related trade qualification (highly desirable)
- Have current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card
- Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings
- Must have good knowledge of Building Code and relevant Australian Standards
- Contract management experience preferred
- Good knowledge of construction industry standard building practices
- Good knowledge of the construction industry Work Health and Safety
- Computer literate
