This is a great opportunity to be directly involved in all facets of the tendering process. You will be working very closely with our Construction Team at CIRCL Group. This business employs a very consultative and collective tender process whereby everyone is involved and works together with a high level of collaboration. You will also have the opportunity to meet clients to fully ingrain yourself in the business and the human side of the process, and if you already have strong relationships with previous clients, this will be highly looked upon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft project, Design Cad).
- Understanding of contract law, different types of contracts (e.g., fixed-price, cost-plus), and contractual obligations.
- Claims Management: Ability to handle claims and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Comprehensive analysis and interpretation of project documentation to produce detailed Bill of Quantities.
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects ranging from $50k to $9m.
- Thoroughly review, evaluate, and manage tender documents ensuring all financial reporting's are accurate and comprehensive.
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and clients to obtain the best quotes and prices.
- Engage in contract administration duties and responsibilities.
- Finalize and submit professional tender packages that are both timely and competitive.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the broader Circl Group team, contributing insights, and taking on feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rates, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in creating detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring projects are completed on schedule
- Ability to develop accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets.
- Understanding of financial management and cost control practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and resolve conflicts.
- Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed choices quickly.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Ability to generate detailed project reports, providing updates to stakeholders.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices to ensure a safe working environment. Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Min 2 years' experience, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator and/or Contracts Administrator, particularly within the commercial sector.
- Strong proficiency in utilising industry-standard software and tools for estimation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical prowess.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
