Construction Materials Testing Technician/s

About the role
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Coffey Testing Caboolture team who are vital in ensuring the quality and safety of the Construction Materials used in some of Australia's largest rail, mining and infrastructure projects. These roles involve:

• Undertaking a variety of manual tasks in a laboratory and field (dependent on experience) setting, including preparing and testing soil & concrete samples;
• Liaising with Coffey Testing’s client on testing schedules, procedures and results;
• Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with industry standards (AS1289, AS1012);
• Ensuring accuracy of tests results and timely output of work; and
• Undertaking quality assurance checks, ensuring all equipment is maintained and calibrate.

About you
We invite both entry-level and applicants with experience in CMT testing to apply as there are multiple positions available.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate some or all of the following criteria:

• Has sound experience in field and laboratory Construction Materials Testing to Australia standards;
• Holds a current NDM radiation license (desirable) and is competent in its operation;
• Knowledge of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements;
• Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety;
• Has the ability to work autonomously and displays a level of self-motivation;
• Can work effectively under pressure, prioritising work to meet client demands; and
• Is physically fit and able to perform a manual labour-intensive role which includes heavy lifting.
