We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Construction Project Manager or Civil Construction Engineer to join our team-oriented group. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing leadership and hands-on support across various facets of project management, from tendering to project delivery for projects ranging in value from $500k to over $10 million.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and administration of tenders.
- Conduct contract negotiations and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Handle comprehensive financial reporting, including monthly reviews, progress claims, and cost valuations.
- Undertake project management duties including scheduling, contractual administration, procurement, and addressing technical aspects of projects.
- Promote and support a 'Zero Harm' safety-first culture and environment.
- Foster and maintain robust business relationships with various stakeholders.
- Mentor and support the development of project coordinators and supervisory team members.
- Conduct effective project meetings and ensure compliance with project-specific documentation.
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with planned programs and budgets.
- Generate precise project reports and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree in Project Management or Civil Construction Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in a construction environment, with 2+ years in tender preparation and contract negotiations.
- Right to Work in Australia (Citizen or valid Visa holder).
- Australian Driver's Licence and current Construction Induction training.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to plan up to 3 months ahead and provide weekly progress reports.
- Experience in procurement and development of tender packages.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented disposition.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, all Microsoft applications, Auto-CAD, and Civil 3D.
