Permanent Opportunity for a Construction Superintendent to work client-side focusing on the contractual side and management of the construction contractor.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for contract administration, construction oversight, co-ordination oversight, quality control & safety and financial oversight.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the infrastructure developer and the construction contractor for all aspects of contract administration
- Handle and approve Requests for Information (RFIs) and variations in accordance with contractual requirements
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of work to ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify that construction activities are in line with the project plans and specifications
- Facilitate effective communication between the infrastructure developer, construction contractor, and other stakeholders
- Attend and lead project meetings, including progress meetings, coordination meetings, and site inspections
- Promote a culture of safety and quality among all project participants
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost control and efficient resource utilization
- Assist in the preparation of cost forecasts and financial reports
The Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a Construction Superintendent role within construction, mining or logistics on the client side
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex tasks
- Expertise in effectively developing, documenting, negotiating and implementing contracts
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial acumen
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders
- Ability to travel to site as required
