THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join the team at Ora Banda.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Implement planned preventive maintenance in accordance with procedures, to achieve In-process KPI’s for work order completion and quality
- Implement plans to onboard, and execute shut plans to meet the desired goals
- Ensure work quality is maintained within the field
- Provide technical support in relation to plant and equipment
- Manage and maintain drawings, specifications and ensure that any modifications meet statutory requirements and manufacturer SOPs
- Develop, plan and implement strategies for continuous improvements in plant performance which are cost effective and produce optimum results
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports within the required timeframe
- Other duties as required
- Manage and oversee maintenance planning and trades team and ensure statutory requirements are met
- Develop, implement and monitor KPIs for maintenance staff
- Provide your people with appropriate feedback and development opportunities so that they can assist in meeting OBM’s current and future needs
- Ensure that Career and Performance reviews are completed and actioned in accordance with OBM guidelines
- Develop and retain the relevant competencies and expertise within your area of accountability so that a value added and efficient service is constantly delivered
- Maximise the performance of the team by focussing, motivating and developing all team members and their interaction with other OBM teams
- Provide feedback to Company personnel and contractors on matters that may affect their work
- Provide timely and relevant feedback to the management team ensuring that they are aware of all safety, environmental and project activities that influence Company priorities
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Relevant trade qualification
- 10-15+ years in fixed plant maintenance and mineral processing
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at a Maintenance Superintendent level or equivalent within the mining industry.
- High level technical and trouble-shooting expertise across all disciplines of maintenance
- Demonstrated significant experience in asset reliability, asset maintenance optimisation and maintenance planning
- Demonstrated experience in implementing proactive maintenance strategies
- Demonstrated reporting and cost control capabilities
- Demonstrated team leadership expertise
- High level computer experience in excel, word, outlook, MS project, Pronto
- Strong working knowledge and use of maintenance, scheduling and planning software with Pronto expertise being preferable
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Ability to analyse mechanical data
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence or equivalent
