- Plan daily tasks are in line with engineering teams in regards to upcoming weekly work
- Responsible for managing the workforce and subcontractors to complete the works in accordance with project management plans, quality and environmental requirements
- Ensure all inspection and Test Plans are reviewed and signed off during the delivery of works on a daily basis
- When in charge of a barge/marine vessel, ensure compliance with AMSA requirements and relevant Barge Safety Management System
- Ensure that delivery dockets are presented to the site/project engineer daily
- Prepare and conduct daily prestart
- Ensure all plant is inspected and records are maintained including predelivery inspections, daily prestarts and routine maintenance
- Interface and liaise with contractors and sub-contractors and build a good working relationship with onsite personnel
- Provide feedback to all site team through the ongoing monitoring of safety on site
- Experience Marine infrastructure / construction projects experience
- Experience in the following projects - wharves, jetties, offshore pipelines, bridges over water, Piling/drilling - heavy lifting/industrial and/or other marine based complex structures
- Knowledge of QMS
- Understands QA inspection and Test Checklist
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong commitment to safety

- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Competent at Identifying complex problems and provide solutions
- Relevant qualification or hands on experience
- Minimum of 15 years in the construction industry
- Proven people management experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills and competency
- Experience working in the Marine infrastructure (jetties, wharves, offshore pipeline, heavy lifting/industrial projects) is essential
