CERTIFER Australia is the Independent Certifier for the greenfield components of the Sydney Metro City Southwest project including Martin Place, Victoria Cross, Crows Nest, Barangaroo, Pitt Street, and Waterloo Station along with the Line-Wide (LW) rail systems contract, and the Operations, Trains and Systems (OTS2) contract.
As an IC Expert for the OTS2 rail systems contract, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Plan, coordinate and conduct surveillances activities including test witnessing, site / process surveillance and joint inspections on various construction sites
Prepare surveillance documentation (including surveillance plan / report) and raise observations as required
Manage surveillance register and follow up for closure of findings (particularly for those with “High” category) in a timely manner
Provide regular report for surveillance activities including summary statistic and key non-compliance issues
Attends and pro-actively participate in Construction & Quality meetings
Provide support / input (with evidence) to the IC Compliance Database for the System Performance Requirements (SPR) compliance demonstration
Provide support and coordinate / conduct other IC activities such as document review, RBA, Audits, IC Compliance Database, as required
Key skills and experience
Bachelor of Engineering coupled with at least 5 years of rail systems experience
Strong systems integration experience and technical understanding of how each disciplines interface with each other (Signalling, HV, Traction Power, Substations, Overhead, Civil etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
