Consulate Staff - Administration Section
About the role
We are seeking a candidate to fill a full-time (locally engaged) staff position in the Administration Section at the Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney. The employee will perform a wide range of administrative duties. The position is based in the Sydney CBD and does not include working-from-home arrangements.
Duties
- Various administrative duties
- General accounting
- Various property maintenance
- Vehicle schedule maintenance
- Conducting research on various topics as requested
- Supporting and assisting various events
- Administrative support tasks and other duties as directed
Skills & Selection Criteria
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Visa holder only (not on Bridging Visa)
- Native level of Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) is essential
- Strong writing and fluent English skills are essential
- High level proficiency in Microsoft suites (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
- Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Local (Sydney) knowledge skills are desirable, but not essential
