It offers a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient treatments, specialist clinics, and mental health support. With 180 beds, including dedicated mental health beds, the hospital operates 24/7 for emergencies and maintains regular hours for other services.

The Job 

• We are seeking applications from Specialist Anaesthetists wanting to join a committed team of consultants to provide high quality anaesthesia and perioperative services
• This regional has 180 beds with all the specialities you would expect of a providing you with a diverse mix of elective and emergency cases with support from the network tertiary centre
• This is an excellent opportunity to join a networked anaesthetic service whilst working for the largest local health district in New South Wales which services a population of more than 900,000.
• You will join experienced consultants in providing quality, holistic and best practice anaesthetic services to inpatients and outpatients.
• Staff Specialist or VMO Anaesthetist positions are available, with immediate start options
• The Department has a well-established relationship with the University of Newcastle, Department of Rural Health and teach into Year 3-5 of the Joint Medical Program.
• Opportunity for appointment as a conjoint academic is possible

Requirements  

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
