You will be working in the second-largest hospital in this health district and the key referral hospital for much of the region. The redeveloped hospital was opened in 2015 with state of art facilities across emergency, maternity, paediatrics, theatres, intensive care, coronary care, medical and surgical specialities, with 348 treatment spaces. The hospital has five operating theatres currently in operation and is supported by a modern Cancer Centre, sophisticated diagnostic services, along with comprehensive community and outpatient services.

The Job
- This is an excellent opportunity to join a networked anaesthetic service whilst working for the largest local health district in New South Wales which services a population of more than 900,000
- You will join experienced consultants in providing quality, holistic and best-practice anaesthetic services to inpatients and outpatients
- As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will undertake supervision and education of junior medical staff and other relevant staff to foster safe clinical practice
- Opportunity to work and collaborate with a range of non-clinical and clinical professionals and expand your career through the networked anaesthetic service
- Potential for a conjoint appointment with the University of Newcastle at an academic level commensurate with your qualifications and experience
