About the Role: The Consultant Anaesthetist leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist Anaesthetic services to patients, promote patient safety and quality of care and provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education for Doctors in Training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers, working within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee. In collaboration with the Head of Anaesthetics the Consultants work together to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets.
