About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Cardiologist within the Cardiology Department with a special expertise to manage patients with Heart Failure and have excellent training in non-invasive cardiac imaging. In this role you will work within a small dedicated team offering a Heart Failure outreach service as well as be a part of the cardiac imaging team.
This position will entail a significant involvement in the NALHN Heart Failure service but also in the cardiac non-invasive imaging service and inpatient on-call service.
The Cardiac Clinical Services Stream support the following principles that underpin a co-ordinated and integrated approach to the delivery of sustainable, safe and equitable care for the public and staff by:
- Integrating cardiac clinical services across the region including research and training;
- Exploring opportunities for standardisation, consolidation and monitoring of service outcomes; and
- Training and development of the cardiac workforce.
In this role you will contribute to the hospital by achieving best practice in the design and delivery of clinical services to its patients.
As a medical specialist, you will contribute to the provision of safe, best practice clinical services to patients of the NALHN Cardiac Clinical Services Stream and to teaching/training of undergraduates and postgraduates.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
