AddressKate King Legal is a boutique law firm specialising in Criminal Law located in the Perth CBD. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working PLT Student or recent graduate to join our team in a temporary full-time role as an Administrative Assistant. Please note that some work undertaken can count towards Practical Legal Training hours.
This is a full-time position. The appointment will be for a period of about 9 weeks, beginning on 5 June 2024.
You will be mentored by experienced solicitors and your duties will include:
§ Various administrative duties;
§ Diary Management;
§ File Management;
§ Client Liaison;
§ Assisting with correspondence
§ Assisting with court documents;
§ Utilising LEAP legal software
§ Legal Research
§ Trial Preparation
Selection Criteria
Essential
§ Ability to work independently under the supervision of experienced legal practitioners;
§ Dedicated, hard-working, well organised and with a keen eye for detail;
§ Strong written and oral communication skills; and
§ Available full time.
Preferred
§ Previous experience working in a legal or administrative environment; and
§ Interest and desire to practice in criminal law.
