The successful applicant will be the fourth endocrinologist to join the service. The team is supported by two Nurse Practitioners, a team of Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Diabetes Specialist Dietitians. The service provides specialist outpatient and inpatient services, and primary health care support.
Responsibilities
- Provide general medical and endocrinology services to out patients and in patients
- Work 40 hours per week plus on call duties covering acute internal medicine
- Teach and supervise resident medical officers (RMOs)
- Contribute to this hospital's wider medical team as an active and collaborative member.
- Medical Degree recognised by WHO
- FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
- Salary ASMS scale for 40 hour week
- 6 weeks annual leave
