Staff Specialist General Physician

Provide consultant level management of inpatients admitted under a General Medical Unit within Royal Darwin Hospital. This will encompass the assessment of acute general medical inpatients, appropriate investigation and formulation of a management plan. High level of leadership skills will be required to manage a large team of junior staff in a busy unit. An exceptional understanding of complex discharge planning and willingness to engage ambulatory care services to ensure timely discharges will be required in our challenging environment. nSeveral vacancies are available working in Darwin or Palmerston. nSelection will be made at the SC or SSC level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.nThis is a part time vacancy available for 0.95 (36 hrs) per week.
