The hospital you will be working in is a large teaching hospital offering mental health services spanning all age groups. The adult mental health service provides specialist assessment, treatment, and support for patients between 18-65 years of age who are experiencing a wide range of severe and persistent mental illnesses and associated disorders that significantly impact their lives.
Adult mental health services include inpatient and community services, which are delivered according to the assessed needs of consumers and their families. Contemporary evidence- based interventions are delivered either by structured programs or by care coordination.
This position will see you providing mental health services across a variety of settings including inpatient and acute care hospital services, community-based facilities, in patient’s homes, and in conjunction with general practitioners. You will be working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams focusing on safety, collaboration, evidence-based practices and ongoing evolution of services to meet consumer needs.
