The Organisation
You will be joining a major tertiary hospital that provides medical, surgical, diagnostic, emergency and support services. The hospital is recognised as a leading teaching institution for healthcare professionals.
Mental Health Services include multidisciplinary Older Persons Mental Health Services community teams, Crisis Intervention Services, Consultation Liaison Services and Acute Inpatient Units.
The Job

• As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for managing the care of patients within the Older Persons Mental Health Service
• You will join a friendly and welcoming multidisciplinary team of resident medical officers, registrars, fellow consultants, nurses and allied health professionals
• You will contribute to medical teaching/training programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have the opportunity to be involved in continuous quality improvement activities
• You will participate in a shared after-hours remote on-call roster

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent
