The Organisation
The major referral and teaching hospital in the district has a bed base of more than 500 with the capacity to treat specialist and complex cases. The campus provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
The Hospital is closely affiliated with the University of Wollongong and the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute.
The Job
- The Consultant Radiologist provides specialist radiology services across the Local Health District and delivers services meeting the clinical needs of the patient and the diagnostic and/or interventional requirements of the referring clinician
- You will join a team consisting of 11 Radiologists, a mix of Staff Specialists and VMOs, with three Registrars
- There is a high workload across various modalities including MRI, CT, Mammography, Flash Stereotactic, and screening except for neuro-interventional
- You will have experience and willingness to work across a range of Radiology modalities (experience in interventional radiology is desirable but not essential)
- Radiologists will be rostered on non-clinical duties up to 1 day per week, including teaching
- The full-time specialist radiology roster is Monday to Friday, 0800 – 1700
- On-call duty is approx. 1:8
- You will have the opportunity to participate in educational forums and instruct, supervise and support radiology JMOs and other clinicians

Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR), or equivalent
