Zendesk is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Global Communications team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our APAC-based public relations team, you will contribute significantly to the development and implementation of PR plans and initiatives aimed at achieving consistent results. You will report directly to the Director of APAC Communications and collaborate closely with our public relations, analyst relations, and internal communications teams.

What you’ll do every day:
Contribute to the development and execution of public relations plans, collaborating with our global Communications team.
Support the development of thought leadership topics and stories that establish Zendesk's industry leadership.
Prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements, including executives and senior leadership.
Coordinate media relations for global announcements and integrated campaigns, shaping newsworthy content.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant media and industry partners.
Develop and edit public relations materials such as statements, press releases, and presentations.
Contribute to our company Newsroom, sourcing and editing stories to ensure it becomes a go-to source for up-to-date company news.
Research and monitor technology and customer experience trends to inform public relations plans.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Minimum 6+ years of PR or communications experience in a global technology/SaaS company or highly regarded PR agency
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with exceptional storytelling abilities
Strong understanding of media and influencers in the general business and technology sector
Experience contributing to an online company newsroom, including sourcing and editing content
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and incorporate input from all levels
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates self-motivation, accountability, and autonomy
Desire to contribute to a high-performance team and company culture
