The Organisation
You will be working in a 305-bed facility that is the main referral hospital for the region. Specialist Medical Services include emergency medicine, general medicine, cardiology, renal medicine, palliative care, psychiatry, rehabilitation, geriatric medicine, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and anaesthetics. There is also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. A new Cancer Care Unit provides care for local patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and services.
The Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service provides interdisciplinary inpatient, ambulatory and outreach services from a purpose built 16 bed facility.
The Job
- This is an excellent opportunity to provide evidence based and best practice clinical services in the fields of Rehabilitation Medicine
- You will work closely with multidisciplinary leaders including the nurse unit manager and the program coordinator to deliver exceptional clinical services to older people with medical and rehabilitation needs
- You will provide clinical care for both inpatients and ambulatory patients, which may include after-hours and on-call
- The role will involve the supervision of Registrars/Principal House Officers, and junior and senior house officers in the unit

Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM) or equivalent
