Your Impact:
Calling communications and Engagement specialists with a passion for infrastructure! With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a talented, curious, and committed Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Hobart team. In this role you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors including transport, health, placemaking, water and renewable energy.
We are looking for someone who has experience planning and project managing engagement, is great at translating complex technical information into simple messages, and is confident engaging with a range of communities.
Our ANZ communications and Engagement specialists partner with the broader Jacobs business to design, deliver and evaluate communications and Engagement approaches for infrastructure, sustainability and environmental initiatives. We help our clients solve their most complex challenges in ways which consider stakeholder and community impacts, and seek to deliver positive environmental outcomes.
As an early-to-mid career consultant, you will:
- Develop stakeholder and community engagement plans.
- Draft communications for a range of channels, this may include community updates and notifications, briefing presentations, webpage copy and media releases.
- Work alongside senior leaders to engage with clients and take a lead role engaging with clients on individual projects.
- Coordinate and help facilitate engagement activities, in-person and online.
- Prepare outcome reports including an analysis of qualitative and quantitative outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in continual improvement.
- Collaborate with a range of technical specialists and work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Here's What You'll Need:
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Social Science, Arts, Environmental Studies, Transport Planning, Urban Planning or related field.
- An understanding of best practice engagement approaches, as defined by International Association for Public Participation (IAP2)
- An IAP2 certificate (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects and developing stakeholder and community engagement strategies and plans.
- Excellent writing and editing skills and a consistent record in producing high quality communications.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A 'can do' attitude with an interest in continuous learning and improvement.
