Lismore Alcohol and Other Drug Service is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) Alcohol and Other Drug Consultation and Liaison to coordinate and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CNS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD), to referred patients from the Emergency Department and/or inpatient services.
If you have:
Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a postgraduate qualification in a Drug and Alcohol clinical specialty and at least 3 years’ experience working in a Drug and Alcohol clinical specialty
Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care
Ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes, in relation to drug and alcohol management
Commitment to excellence in nursing practice, the facilitation of education to individuals, groups and own professional development
