Consumer Insights & Planning Specialist

Our client is in the business of food, boasting a rich history not only in Australia but across the globe. Time and time again, they have delivered products to the market that have not only innovated a traditional food based offering, but shifted the perception from price to value.
  
As they look to the future, there is an ambitious pipeline of ideas and concepts ready to be put to the test for this business. They are looking for an enthusiastic foodie with a background in marketing, interested in project managing initiatives, consistent product launches, consumer testing, working with insights agencies, create presentations and being part of a world class marketing team.
  
The Role

• Coordinate product & innovation planning, innovation and consumer testing/insights for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
• Develop and implement product testing protocol, and co-ordinate and execute various forms of pretotype testing and in-market trials.
• Oversee the innovation pipeline and the consumer testing schedule to deliver insight led inspired products and services to market .
• Support the strategy, implementation and execution of brand tracking for the purpose of building out the marketing and brand calendar.
• Work with external agencies and internal design teams to develop creative concepts for the purpose of preotyping.
• Provide Consumer Insights to creative and media agency partners and internal teams for go-to-market products, ensuring a thorough handover of information to assist with campaign and sales effectiveness.
• As a member of the Innovations team, focused on the delivery of inspired products and services, provide updates and testing results to the executive team.
• Collate insights and promotional information on approved products to handover to Brand and internal stakeholders for market launches.
• Monitor and track product penetration and sales outcomes and measure against competitor activity .
• Lead weekly update WIP for insights / testing and promotions within development funnel.
• Work closely with internal teams, including but not limited to Marketing Departments, Communications, Operations, Supplier Chain and Legal.

The Experience

• Demonstrated experience in developing new products and innovation testing using modern insights and research methods.
• Experience managing and working with external insights, creative and research agencies.
• Ability to be agile and operate at speed in an ever-changing environment.
• Strong understanding and ability of how to translate Consumer Insights into actionable outcomes to drive innovation and sales performance.
• Experience in managing multiple projects with varying timelines.
• Identify and troubleshoot potential issues and opportunities to ensure on time delivery.
• Comfortable working both autonomously and in a high-performance team.
