This role will work closely with teams across marketing including Product Marketing and Growth Strategy, to map out strategies and content plans that will support our K12 audiences. This could include various content outputs such as onboarding guides, training resources, newsletters and self serve teacher resources. When required, they would also run train the trainer sessions to educate the wider team on how to deliver training materials.
The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with the ability to craft creative and engaging learning content, a strong understanding of K12 teacher and student audiences, skills in effective facilitation and training, as well as having great time management skills and a can-do attitude.At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Develop a strong understanding of the Canva product and its use cases for teachers and students
- Collaborate with a squad including a Product Marketing Manager and Growth Strategist to determine marketing initiatives that will drive growth
- Create robust content plans that will have an impact on K12 audience growth and meet their needs
- Create content that teaches how to use the core Canva product and relevant classroom skills to engage every learner, innovating new ways to help users learn
- Write scripts and create storyboards for content, and work with the production team to bring this content to life
- Present and facilitate train-the-trainer workshops to enable others to deliver training materials
- Experience educating others through the creation and delivery of learning content
- Strong understanding of the user needs of K12 audiences - ideally you've worked previously within a teaching environment and/or district admin
- Bonus if you've previously worked in a SaaS company targeted at Education audiences
- Content creation skills for various formats: able to write and create content with strong copy skills across educational videos, onboarding guides, pitch decks, landing pages, and other materials as required
- An ability to make complex things simple: you're able to systematically think through processes to create quality branded content
- Make effective decisions: able to prioritise projects based on impact, drive projects forward and ensure we're meeting team and business goals
- Pursue excellence: you are process-driven, able to manage multiple projects, keep others on track and assess and measure the effectiveness of work
- Confident and clear communication skills: for constant collaboration, engaging presentation delivery and dealing with multiple stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. You will be able to confidently present ideas to your audience and influence them to try new things.
