Additional information:
• This role is Temporary (until June 2025) Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• This role is based in IKEA Distribution Centre, Marsden Park NSW.
• This role requires availability to work Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (with one day option of WFH).
• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates, including a National Police Check.
About this work area
As Continuous Improvement Leader your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Analyse and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities to strive for excellence in operations, improved efficiencies, quality, and lower cost.
• Responsible for securing the successful implementation of global and local central fulfilment projects and process changes; and coordinate all relevant readiness initiatives in the unit.
• Responsible for ensuring logistics setup documents, process working methods and other documents and guidelines are kept up to date and implemented.
• Responsible for monitoring performance against agreed budget and goals of current projects and process improvements, informing the correct stakeholders.
As Continuous Improvement Leader you are or have:
• Comfortable working a mix of strategic, tactical, and operational tasks. You enjoy working in a fast paced, vibrant, and changing multidimensional environment.
• Demonstrated evidence of successfully leading process improvements and execution of projects from concept to completion.
• Proven experience and an expert in Lean Thinking & Continuous Improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, ideally in an Omnichannel Fulfilment industry setting.
• An experienced leader who demonstrates strong capabilities in leading change initiatives and confidently navigating through the unknown.
• Able to build robust relationships with stakeholders and display a high level of influencing and negotiation skills. and personal impact by using good communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams, influence enthusiasm and positive energy for effective change.
