About the role
It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement that we plan to invest more than A$1 billion in a major expansion of our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.
Reporting to our Production Engineering Manager, we have an opportunity to join us in Brisbane as a Senior Production Engineer to develop and maintain plans to deliver the corporate production targets and maximize the NPV of producing assets.
Your technical and stakeholder experience will be key to your success in this role where you are involved throughout the complete lifecycle of wells and fields. Your role is unique and essential, and you will interface with and coordinate multiple teams:
- Reservoir engineering
- Drilling and completions
- Surface and engineering
- Production operations
- Commercial operations
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Strategy and planning of workovers and minor well interventions.
- Artificial lift system design (predominantly PCP, but experience in alternatives is desired).
- Root cause analysis of well failures and run life improvement.
- New technology development and trial execution.
- Well integrity management and regulatory compliance.
In order to support the field teams, understand the practices and assist with problem solving and performance improvement you will be required to visit the sites on a regular basis (every 3-6 months)
About You
You will be tertiary qualified in Engineering and come with years of experience in well design, well operations and well integrity management in the CSG Industry. You will be known for your technical knowledge and ability to take ownership of a project, develop a strategy, take it forward and lead it.
