Job Description
Reporting to the Transformation Manager, the Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist will drive innovation and Continuous Improvement of processes and systems in our finance business units and implement programs that will have continuing long-term benefits in terms of user experience, efficiency, and effectiveness. This is a fixed term, 12 month maternity leave contract based at our Brisbane Corporate Office.
The primary accountabilities will incorporate:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a 'best-in-class' Continuous Improvement approach across GSS with a strong focus on Service performance.
  • Implement remediation plans linked with our Finance Information Model Project (1COA)
  • Collaborate with the GSS CI team to implement the CI Strategy and support automation opportunities within service delivery.
  • Support continuous measurement of the performance of the processes, solutions, and services against defined service levels to identify opportunities for refinement of the process to increase efficiency, effectiveness and customer centricity.
  • Implement remediation plans linked with specific projects
  • Support standardization initiatives and drive deployment of standards specially for RTR space for SMC and Marketing
  • Work with different business in improvement projects demand can come from GPOs, GSS our business in the finance space
  • Work with GSS team in improvement identified by the team
  • Perform root cause analysis using Celonis dashboards
  • Provide support to finance teams in Steelmaking Coal in Australia and Marketing based in Singapore
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline combined with practical experience.
  • Previous experience in Finance, with an understanding of implementing business improvements
  • Proven Continuous Improvement mindset with an ability to challenge the status quo
  • Track record of interfacing with and influencing across all functions of the business.
  • MS Projects, MS Visio, Smart Sheets and MS Office proficiency.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of change concepts.
  • Strong analytical, project and product management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
