We're looking for two or three more dedicated and talented professionals based in Melbourne who can accept regular short term ad hoc investigative assignments.

This position is most suited to independent contractors looking for short term investigative assignments and plenty of variety.

  • High ethical standards
  • An ability to put people at ease in stressful situations
  • An ability to quickly grasp complex concepts
  • An ability to quickly adapt to and understand different working environments and workplace cultures
  • An ability to be a great ambassador for our company and build great relationships with our clients.

Successful candidates must also have;

  • An ABN
  • A Certificate III in Investigative Services at a minimum
  • Be a licensed private investigator
  • Have a strong understanding of the rules of evidence, the rules of procedural fairness (natural justice) and a strong knowledge of conducting a procedurally sound, ethical and effective investigation.
  • A sound working knowledge of conducting code of conduct investigations in the workplace
  • A sound understanding of the Fair Work Act in relation to Unfair Dismissals, Disciplinary Action and Performance Management
  • Proven experience as a Workplace Investigator or similar role is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed investigative reports outlining findings and recommendations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with HR professionals or legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Provide guidance on best practices related to workplace policies and procedures.

As a Contract Workplace Investigator with us:
1. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring fair treatment within workplaces across various industries.
2. You will work independently on diverse cases that challenge your problem-solving abilities while honing your investigative skills further.
3. You will collaborate closely with HR professionals who share your commitment towards fostering inclusive work environments.
