Role Summary:
The Contractor Supervisor is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjar site. The objective of the role is to supervise and direct contractor resources undertaking planned, routing preventative and corrective plant maintenance of varying levels of complexity, including the planning, risk assessment and organisation of contractor frameworks.
This role will primarily be based at the Pinjar Power Station, with some travelling required to remote operation sites such as Kalgoorlie and Mungarra to ensure appropriate contractor supervision during planned maintenance and outage events.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead contractor inductions and onboarding and supervise mobilisation and site establishment of new and existing contractors
- Supervise demobilisation and vacation of site at the end of contract engagement and conduct prestart and toolbox meetings with contractors
- Supervise, monitor performance, and coordinate work performed by contractors
- Meet expectations and requirements of site Synergy responsible person and contractor representative
- Complete Verification of competency (VOC) authorisation in line with Synergy policy
- Advanced TAFE certificate in relevant discipline or qualified engineering tradesperson with relevant practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience directly supervising a multiskilled range of trade-based contractors performing maintenance and/or project work in a power station or major hazard facility
- Extensive knowledge of power station and or major hazard facility maintenance practices
- Skilled in contract management and financial management processes
- Proven experience and understanding of Permit to Work and Isolation requirements within Power Generation industry and or major hazard facilities
