Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.About the Role:WorkPac are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to provide operational support within the Control Systems Engineering team at the Rio Tinto OC Control Room. Responsibilities of role will include escalation and recovery from site electricians, technicians and controllers for Control System and electrical asset fault diagnosis and recovery.Key Responsibilities will include:ÂAct as point of communication between control, operations, and engineering team to escalate emerging control issues to appropriate personnel.Provide start up and shutdown assistance.Identify and develop scopes for continuous improvement projects with controllers and communicate high value opportunities to appropriate personnel.Execute Control Systems changes for defect elimination and rate/throughput optimization.Identify leading work practices and control improvements, standardise across controller group including incorporating into training systems.Provide technical peer review controls systems support for change managements.Skills & Experience Required:ÂDemonstrate a strong safety culture.Familiar with concepts of process control and control schemesExperience with industrial Control Systems preferably in mining.Proficiency in PLC and SCADA systems (Schneider/Citect/Wonderware)Strong communication, written and stakeholder management skills.Strong collaboration and negotiation skillsProven ability to problem solve and perform data analysis.âCâ Class Drivers LicenceAbout WorkPacWorkPac is Australiaâs largest privately owned workforce services business with over 1.3 million registered candidates.
