AddressThis role will be involved directly with clients across multiple projects in the areas of analysis and negotiation of customer requirements, architecture design, equipment selection, document preparation, on-site commissioning and support activities.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Control system design & direction - including the analysis of client requirements and development of key design documents such as functional design specifications
- Configuration, programming and support of PLC/PAC/RTU
- Configuration, programming and support of SCADA/HMI
- Conducting root cause analysis for hardware and network faults
- Oversight of external contracted resources to carry out design and supply contracts
- Procurement and budget management of components and contracts
- Occasional site work, including directing contractors
- Delivering and participating in design workshops and training sessions with clients
- Develop and witness appropriate Factory Acceptance / Site Acceptance Testing of engineered solutions
- Perform hand over of solutions to the client technical team
- Continuously developing and introducing Control Systems knowledge to Beon's
- Engineering team and wider business.
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in development and configuration
- Strong understanding of how to safely implement Control Systems in high voltage electrical installations
- Experience using Ignition Perspective
- Deep understanding of PLC programming and ability to work with new devices as required
- Fundamental understanding of industrial protocols, network architecture and network topology
- Experience using various communications protocols including Modbus, DNP3 and IEC61850.
- Excellent communication in all environments including construction sites
- Application knowledge and drive to proactively identify requirements ahead of time
Favourable skills and experience:
- Holistic problem solving
- Experience programming structured text, continuous function chart/function block diagram and ladder.
- Experience programming SEL RTACs and Codesys PLC/PAC controllers
- Experience programming using Python
