AddressSummary:
We are looking for a Convenience Store Manager to run our store. You’ll be in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly day to day, keeping an eye on the store’s money, managing the staff, and making sure our customers are happy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations.
- Supervise and help your team to give great customer service.
- Keep track of what’s in stock and order new supplies as needed.
- Handle money, keep budget records, and make sure the store isn't losing money it shouldn't.
- Keep the store clean and organized.
- Sort out any problems customers have quickly and nicely.
- Make sure the store is a safe place to shop and work.
- Review how your team is doing and help them get better at their jobs.
- Deal with suppliers and other business contacts sometimes.
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Saturday: approximately 6 hours per fortnight
- Public Holidays: approximately 4 hours (as needed)
- Occasional Sundays required
Qualifications:
- Finished high school or equivalent; further education in Business Management is a plus but not essential.
- At least 2 years of experience managing in retail.
- Good at leading a team and keeping things organized.
- Knows how to talk to customers and co-workers.
- Can use computers for things like emails, scheduling, and keeping track of inventory.
- Can do several things at once in a busy place.
- Likes to keep things tidy and organized.
