We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join the Bedfords Property Team.
The role would also suit 3rd year plus law students wanting to gain in-house experience and training.

About the role
The primary focus of this role is to provide support to two senior property lawyers. Candidates who enjoy a varied role and wish to develop their skills and conveyancing capabilities within a collaborative environment will suit this opportunity.
We will provide ongoing training and development. Key to this position is a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a team and provide professional administrative services to lawyers and clients.
You will be involved in interesting legal matters, and on a day-to-day basis you can expect the role to include:
- Assisting senior lawyers in managing our high volume residential conveyancing practice
- Ordering and monitoring searches
- Preparing and compiling contracts
- Liaising with clients, lenders, agents and other agencies
- Electronic file management
- Preparation of basic correspondence
- Coordination of settlements through PEXA
- Other tasks suitable to your experience
- Other administrative tasks as required
About you
The successful candidate ideally would have prior experience in an ACT or NSW conveyancing practice. You will be a team player with a can-do attitude committed to achieving client/ firm outcomes.
You will also possess the following attributes/ skills:

- good written and verbal communication skills and judgement
- good knowledge of common software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe etc) with a high level of accuracy

- an interest in undertaking training and development to learn new skills
- the ability to foster positive working relationships
- active team member, completing tasks and assisting others to complete tasks
