Role Overview
In the role of COO, you will hold a key position in influencing the strategic and operational direction of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading the Finance team with a focus on financial planning, risk management, and quality assurance. Your specialised knowledge will be instrumental in driving the organisation's growth and success in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance, Quality & Risk functions to deliver effective financial reporting and commercial outcomes.
- Oversee management accounts, statutory accounting, tax, treasury, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, property management, grants administration, and partnership compliance.
- Identify growth opportunities and operationalise strategic plans for sustainable development.
- Deliver regular, accessible financial reporting to the Board, CEO, and organisational units.
- Contribute to the organisation's strategic objectives by advancing the strategic plan and aligning with the organization's vision.
- Provide leadership in financial operations, commercial activities, and risk management.
- Lead the organisation and your team to deliver on operational performance measures and work in partnership with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Understand commercial and financial management in order to manage budgets, grants and contracts.
- Contribute to business growth strategy through data-driven analysis and operational metrics.
- Ensure sound financial systems with robust internal controls and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead the organisation with a customer and commercial mindset, focusing on revenue, profitability, and unit economics.
