About our Home
Menora Gardens is home to 178 residents (includes a Secure Memory Support Unit for 50 residents) it is a modern building with landscaped gardens and outdoor areas for residents to enjoy, with quality services and catering.
About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Cook to work onsite, within our casual pool. In this role you will provide quality food services to residents and provide kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef.
Duties include:
- Taking direction from the Chef
- Ensure delicious, well-balanced and nutritional meals are planned, prepared and presented to meet the needs of our residents
- Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties and stock control
- Purchase and order stock and equipment
- Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked and served in accordance with legislation
About You
To be successful, you'll need:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Demonstrated min 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen within aged care or a hospital preferable
- Bulk cooking experience highly desirable
- Experience with texture modified food advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and co-workers
