Grace Lutheran Primary School is a great little stand-alone primary school on the Redcliffe Peninsula. We are a well established school which opened its doors in 1971.
Our school is co-educational and is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia (Queensland District). We are open to persons who support the philosophy of the school, without discrimination as to class, race or belief.

Grace Primary has beautiful modern facilities and is a well established and resourced school of around 470 students (P-6). We have a newly established Early Learning Centre onsite and have a strong relationship with Grace Creche & Kindergarten (Redcliffe) and Grace Lutheran College (Rothwell, Yrs 7-12).
About Our Early Learning CentreIn 2022, we opened a three room, 64 place Early Learning Centre catering for local families, siblings of our school students and other children whose families are seeking a Christian Early Learning experience. The centre is licensed for 2 – 5 year old children.
Our ELC program incorportes a mix of high-quality care, play and activity-based learning which harnesses a child's natural curiosity and creativity in a Christian environment.
About the RoleThe Cook's role is to ensure, in conjuction with the Service team, the provision of nutritious and hygeienically prepared meals and drinks at the Service.
Menu planning is not required, as an external company provides this service. The Cook is required to prepare meals that are delivered, ensuring appropriate food safety and handling procedures are followed.
Hours for the position are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively manage time so that meals are prepared in a timely manner
- Actively take part in risk minisation assessments and actively plan for children with anaphylaxis and food allergies
- Ensure food is presented to child in an appealing and timely manner
- Ensure that the kitchen cleaning checklist is completed and signed on a daily basis
- Ensure good hygiene practices and Work, Health and Safety procedures and practices are followed
- Maintain a tidy, clean, hygienic kitchen are followed

Qualifications- Certificate in Food Handling, Nutrition and Menu Planning
- Accreditated Food Supervisor's Course
- Working with Children Check
- Experience in preparing meals for children in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of hygienic food preparation
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety guidelines
